Two people. Two private game farms. South Africa. After 16 years away from my father land (where Richard and I were married 25 years ago), the pangs to return had become overwhelming. We wanted to see the "new" South Africa, visit friends and family, savor the unique sights, sounds and scents of the bush, and be reminded of the vivid sunsets. Africa is still in our blood.
And what better place to start than Sun City in North West Province and a night at the Palace of the Lost City, one of Africa's finest hotels. With its waterfall torrents, marble-everything and spectacular settings we overcame jet lag, got sunburned and surfed on an artificial turquoise wave. Continued
